Ferndale Laboratories, Inc. Produces Hand Sanitizer for Medical Personnel and First Responders

Ferndale Laboratories, Inc. (Ferndale), located just north of Detroit, Michigan, is producing and packaging liquid hand sanitizer for donation to first responders and medical personnel in the local community. The product is produced using the World Health Organization formula of isopropyl alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, glycerin and purified water. Ferndale is packaging the product into 2-oz. bottles incorporating orifice reducers for more efficient application of the product to the hands.

Ferndale’s President & COO, Christopher Stein, stated: “As an FDA-registered drug manufacturer that specializes in liquids and semisolids, Ferndale is well equiped and motivated by the current crisis to take on this type of project. I’m very pleased that we are able to assist our local healthcare workers, police and firefighters who continue their work on the front lines of this pandemic.”

The health, safety, and well-being of Ferndale’s employees remains a top priority as we serve our local community. Ferndale has drastically adjusted daily operations to allow for social distancing for those whose duties require work on-site and remote collaboration for all who can do their work from home. We are very proud of our employees who are working hard to continue to supply much needed products to the community.
